A field study conducted in November 2022 during the implementation of Phase II of the Dutch-Sino East Africa Bamboo Development Programme in Uganda looked into the identification of species introduced earlier for which the documentation was not satisfactory, and assessed the performance of the species in different agro-ecological zones. This report, which is the outcome of the study, will provide useful detailed information on the species for decision making by policy makers and other stakeholders in the value chain to optimize the use of bamboo for economic and environmental benefits.
