This bamboo development strategy and action plan for Tanzania is formulated for the 2023-2031 period to guide actions for the sustainable development of the sector in coherence with existing policies and national orientations in the forestry sector. It will unlock the national potential of bamboo resources towards a developed and well-coordinated business sector for value addition, improving livelihoods, restoring ecosystems and addressing climate concerns.
