A rapid assessment of bamboo products, markets, and supply chains was conducted in Addis Ababa, the South Ethiopia Regional State, and the Sidama Ethiopia Regional State. This assessment provides key insights into the current state of bamboo value chains in these regions and their potential for growth through value chain upgrading, with a focus on participation in the circular economy. It also demonstrates the considerable potential of the bamboo sector in the South and Sidama Regional States and Addis Ababa.
