本手册是中国丹霞赤水世界遗产地可持续生计项目（竹乡碳计）的内容之一。竹乡碳计项目是联合国教科文组织-中国青少年发展基金会梅赛德斯-奔驰星愿基金《中国世界遗产地保护和管理项目》四期（2021 – 2024）的示范项目之一，由国际竹藤组织牵头实施，贵州省赤水市林业局在地支持。
