Guyana is located in the north of South America, the output value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery accounts for about 30% of the country’s GDP. The majority of the land area is covered by tropical forests in a good state of conservation. Both bamboo and rattan are used by the local Indigenous people as resources for livelihood. The trainings are set to empower stakeholders from Guyana how to responsibly scale up their bamboo resources while stimulating economic development.
